About Mitzi

I'm Mitzi Danielson-Kaslik, a 22-year-old entrepreneur, published author and Founder of VERITAS, an international consultancy specialising in governance, risk, compliance, financial crime and AI governance. My career has taken me from the Isle of Man to working with organisations and speaking at international events across the UK, Europe and Africa. Along the way, I've received the International Compliance Association's Outstanding Achievement Award and become Chair of the Institute of Directors Isle of Man Emerging Leaders. As a neurodivergent entrepreneur, I'm passionate about challenging conventional expectations, making complex industries more accessible and creating opportunities for people who might not fit the traditional mould. I believe leadership has very little to do with age or job titles and everything to do with integrity, curiosity and the impact you have on others. My approach is to take the work seriously, but not necessarily myself. Good governance shouldn't just generate paperwork; it should make organisations and people's lives better. Ultimately, I want to demonstrate that unconventional paths can lead to extraordinary opportunities, and that being different can be one of your greatest professional strengths.

Proudest achievements

Founded VERITAS at 22, building an independent international consultancy specialising in governance, risk, compliance, financial crime and AI governance.
Received the International Compliance Association's Outstanding Achievement Award in 2025, becoming its youngest recipient and the first from the Isle of Man.
Appointed Chair of the Institute of Directors Isle of Man Emerging Leaders, championing opportunities and professional development for the next generation.
Invited to speak at international conferences and industry events across the UK, Europe and Africa, sharing expertise on governance, financial crime, leadership and emerging risks.
Progressed from operational financial crime roles to AML Team Leader and subsequently Founder and Chief Consultant of my own business.
Completed a BA (Hons) in Classical Studies with the Open University alongside professional qualifications in anti-money laundering, governance, risk and compliance.
Became a published author at 17, subsequently publishing two further books.
Built a platform to advocate for neurodiversity, accessibility and unconventional career paths, using my experiences to challenge stereotypes and encourage others.
Continued building my career and business while navigating significant personal and health challenges, redefining what resilience and success mean to me.

Why your vote matters

I've never believed that success should be measured purely by job titles, awards or how impressive someone's LinkedIn profile looks. For me, it's about the difference you make, the opportunities you create for others and whether you're leaving things a little better than you found them. At 22, I've built VERITAS around those principles, challenging conventional approaches to governance, championing emerging talent and demonstrating that being young, neurodivergent or simply a little unconventional shouldn't limit your ambitions.
